Olympio “Ollie” M. Stefanoni passed away peacefully Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mt. Holly. He was 99. Born in Trenton, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Madelena Stefanoni. and was a lifelong resident of Burlington City. He was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church, the VFW and the Roma Club. A veteran of World War II, he served in Burma India with the 1905th Engineer Aviation Battalion.
Ollie was a devoted and loving husband for 54 years to Margaret Tenant Stefanoni, who preceded him in death by just 30 days. Ollie had a passion for buying and selling almost anything. He and Marge could be found together at auctions, estate sales and flea markets searching for treasures. He took great joy in picking up old bicycles, fixing them, selling them or giving them to neighborhood children. He loved to dance and enjoyed an occasional trip to Atlantic City to play at the casinos.
He led a quiet life and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to others. Predeceased by his brothers Augustine and Ralph Stefanoni, sister-in-law Ida Stefanoni brother-in -law Edmund Weidman, and niece Jacquelyn Gery, his is survived by his sister Angeline Weidman and sister-in-law Mary Stefanoni and nieces and nephews Dolores (John ) Page, John Stefanoni, Gary (Marie) Stefanoni, Eugene Gery, great nephew Giancarlo Stefanoni, great nieces Kristi, Lauren and Dana Stefanoni, Arianna (Greg) Sherlock and their children Gunnar and Aila.
