Ollie Ruth Ferguson, 88, of Liberty, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 9, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Ollie was a native of Randolph County and formerly employed as an inspector with Mr. Jeans. She loved to cook, go dancing and bluegrass music. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Ferguson, and parents, Ruben Curtis and Minnie Summey Swaney.
Survivors: daughters, Betty Sue Garrison, and husband, Deryl, of Franklinville, Sheron Kay Brown, and husband, Pat of Siler City, son, John Larry Ferguson, and wife, Marsha, of Julian, sister, Edith Small, of Asheboro, brothers, Troy Swaney, and significant other, Margaret, of Lexington, J. B. Swaney, and wife, Betty, of Trinity, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Carillon of Asheboro and Randolph Hospice House.
