On February 14, 2008, Oliver C. Clayton, Jr. passed on. Oliver was dearly loved by many including his late wife, Edith O. Clayton; his loving children, Oliver Clayton, III, James Clayton, Sr., and Dawn L. Reyes; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his dear brothers and sisters, Pauline Schultz, Nancy Manning, Harry Clayton, Paula, and Bonnie Clayton. Oliver was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1920.

He was a resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland from 1954 to the present day. During his life, he worked for the Victor Lynn Eastern Freightways; the Davidson Transfer & Storage Company; the Easter Freightways Associated Transport; and the York Motor Express. He enjoyed life in many ways. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1456. He was also a Baltimore Colt Corporal. He had many hobbies including fishing, crabbing and boating.
