Olive Viola Long, 98, passed away on September 17th, 2010 at the Life Center in Boise, Idaho. Olive was one of nine children of John E. Piper and Laura Piper. She grew up on a family farm four miles south of Watertown, Wisconsin.
She was married to W.
She worked as a bookkeeper at Schuster’s, Piper Brother’s Farms and Carnation Farms until retirement. After retirement she and her best friend, Mildred Cramer, traveled throughout the United States and to Israel, Australia and Mexico.
She is survived by her brother, Arden Piper of Lake Mills, Wisconsin; her son, William Long and wife, Doreen, of Boise, Idaho; eleven grandchildren, Angela Elliott, Scott Erekson, Irene Law, Jeff Erekson, William Long and Jennifer Rose of the Boise, Idaho area, Randy Long of Clearlake, Washington, and Douglas Long of Twin Falls, Idaho; 33 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean; her son, David; two sisters, Ester and Grace; five brothers, Ervin, Carl, Milton, George and Alvin; and one grandson, Scott Long.
