Olive Patricia Geraci, 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away September 18, 2019. Olive was born July 18, 1931, in Providence, RI to the late Patrick and Nellie McAteer. She came to Port St. Lucie from Brooklyn, NY in 1988; Olive enjoyed bowling, slot machines, arts and crafts, and most of all her family.
Olive unselfishly opened her arms and her home to the three generations of Geracis’ that followed which included children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many friends, and even several strangers over Adolph and her lifetimes.
She felt great joy being able to be directly involved in her families’ everyday lives and felt blessed when some would consider it a burden. She spent the last 30 years of her life, since losing Adolph doing so. She was fiercely proud she was having a direct effect on helping to raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her compassion for others could be seen in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. That compassion has molded them into the persons they are and whom they’ll become.
Olive was preceded in death by her loving husband, Adolph F. Geraci; daughter, JoAnn Geraci; brother, Patrick McAteer; sister, Helen Burns.
She is survived by her children, Michael Geraci (Ann Marie), Robert Geraci, Andrew Geraci (Krissi); grandchildren, Michael, Christine, Mathew, Krystal, Courtney, Nicole, Bryan, Madilynn; great-grandchildren, Sky, Sabastian, Olivia, King, Annabelle, Zavier, Violet, Richie; niece, Terry Van Wagner.
