Olga Elizabeth (Balint) Knapp, 95, of South Windsor, CT (formerly of Orange, CT), passed away at home on October 2, 2014 with family by her side. Olga was born on September 18, 1919 to the late James and Anna (Messenger) Balint. She was born and raised in Fairfield, CT and was a graduate of Roger Ludlow High School and Butler Business School. Prior to starting a family, Olga worked for Rolock Company for 10 years as an executive secretary and office manager. After her children were grown, Olga worked in marketing for SideTex Company for many years. Olga was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed caring for children of all ages by cooking, baking, and creating activities to make a nurturing environment for her family and friends. She enjoyed taking care of her family and was very proud of her three children and six grandchildren. Olga was a long-time communicant at St.
Olga is survived by her daughter Barbara Knapp and husband William Morris of Fort Collins, Colorado; two sons, Robert Knapp and wife Jean of South Windsor, Connecticut, and Barry Knapp and wife Janet of Westfield, Massachusetts; a sister-in-law Eleanor Balint of Fairfield, CT; a sister-in-law Hope (Knapp) Jones and husband Jack of Ansonia, CT; by six grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews. Olga was predeceased by her husband William N. Knapp, her brother James Balint, her two sisters Margaret Stumbris and Anna Kocsis, and her long-time friend Terry Tatarinowicz.
In the past few years, Olga took great comfort in the company and care of her exceptionally devoted caregivers: Lucy Bialoskorski and Ewa Kuczynski.
