Olen B. Tinsley, 84, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 7:25 AM, Saturday, April 17th, peacefully, at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg, IN. Olen was born in Bowling Green, KY on June 15, 1925, a son of the late Lottie (Majors) and Walter Tinsley. On August 22, 1952 he married Bettie Jean (Brooks) Tinsley, who died on April 8, 2005. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 1st Class in WW II and received the WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. He worked as a clerk at Kroger in Lawrenceburg, IN., for over 10 years. He retired from Alton Box Factory in 1989 and also worked at Merries Foods in Aurora for 13 years. He was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion.

Olen is survived by
two daughters, Connie Tinsley, of Rising Sun, IN;
Barbara Tinsley, of Rising Sun, IN;
two sons Dennis Tinsley, of Rising Sun, IN; Floyd Tinsley (Debra), of Rising Sun, IN;
He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren

Olen is also survived by
three sisters, Lola Mae Miller, of Rising Sun, IN; Joyce Hill, of Moores Hill, IN; Sarah Tinsley, of Rising Sun, IN.
a brother, Walter Tinsley, of Moores Hill, IN;

Olen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bettie Jean, brothers Floyd and James Tinsley and sister Drotha Huffine.
