Oleita Ann Kirby, of North East, MD, went home to the hands of our Lord surrounded by her family and close friends Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD.
She was born in North East, MD on June 26, 1934. Oleita was the daughter of the late Amos Husfelt, Sr. and Alberta Ruth McKinney Anderson. Her husband, Arnold C. Kirby, died April 10, 1986.
Mrs. Kirby is survived by her daughter: Mary R. Kirby-Miller and two sons: Charles E. Kirby and Arnold R. Kirby (Bridgett); brothers: David Husfelt (Anna) and Richard Anderson (Mari Lou); grandchildren: Michael Miller (Rachel), Jamie Kirby (Jessica), Amie Fortin (Larry), Jason Palmer (Kirsten), and Ben Plasky (Amber). She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and over 180 kids of all ages who called her Mom.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son: David Kirby; brother: Amos Husfelt, Jr., Charles Husfelt, Sr., James Husfelt, Phillip Anderson, Sr., Nolan Anderson Sr., and Neal Anderson; and sister: Hester Combs.
