. On August 24, 1939 in Coldspring, Texas a baby girl was born.  Her parents, Sol Boyd and Claretha Boyd-Spiller named her Ola Pearl.  She was the third of 12 children.   Ola Pearl accepted Christ at a very early age under the leadership of Rev. J.B. Adams at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Coldspring, Texas.  She later became a member of Pillar of Glory Christian Tabernacle under the leadership of Bishop Amos York, Sr. in Houston, Texas where she remained faithful until God called her home. Ola Pearl excelled academically and graduated in 1956 at age 16 from Lincoln High School in Coldspring, Texas where she was also crowned “Miss. She was known for her love of cooking delicious meals and God blessed her with overflowing cupboards, big pots full of food and lots of family and friends who always knew that if they showed up at the Boganys’ house they were sure to get some of momma’s soul food.  Ola Pearl will truly be missed but the love she shared will live on in our hearts always. On August 16, 2012, God dispatched an angel to relieve Ola of her earthly responsibilities.  She is preceded in death by her eldest son Augusta Bogany, Jr., daughter- in-law Michelle Bogany, her father, two brothers, and two sisters. Left in God’s care and to rejoice in her homegoing is her husband Augusta Bogany, Sr.; her daughters Ramonia King (Wilbert), Yolanda Anderson, Andreá Robertson (Michael), Karen Powers (Freddie), Daphne Remo (Brian), her sons Anthony Bogany, Efrem Bogany (Tammy), Lorenzo Bogany (Natasha), and Derrick Bogany (Ashley); her grandchildren LaKeitha Kirven (Corey), Demetria Stephens, Michael Robertson, Jr., David Anderson, Jr., Krystle Bogany, Jazzmon Bogany, Alexandria Thomas (Joshua), Janaé Bogany, Dezmond Powers, Kevin Bogany, Sydney Bogany, Cheyenne Bogany, Kaidon Bogany, Makailee Bogany, Davari Powers, Braden Remo, Keemon Felix, Marcus King, Jonathan King, Brandon Smith, Ashley Toliver, Eric Villafuerte, Kenneth Briscoe, Jr; her great-grandchildren Destiny Kelley, Ja´Niya Rachle, Ja´Den Burnett, Carter Kirven, Isaiah Thomas, Noah Thomas, Elijah Thomas, Keiana Felix, Keelon Felix, Keidren Felix, Keandre Felix, Keemon Felix, Jr., Jo´siah Postell, Gavin Smith, and Brendon Smith all of Houston, TX; her mother, Claretha Spiller; her mother-in-law Edmonia Brock; her sisters, Clara Oten, Doris Boyd, Rubi Boyd, Mary Whittaker (Alfanza), Viola Boyd-Richardson, and Blenda Ross (James) all of Houston, TX; her brother Ezzard C.
