Mr. Odell Stewart Jr., the son of the late Odell Stewart Sr., and the late Mrs. Mamie Jones Stewart, was born December 26, 1934 in Somerville, AL. He departed this life on August 5, 2013.
Mr. Stewart had many talents. You could say that he was a (Jack of all Trades). He was a member of the Trucker Teamsters in Chicago, IL where he later retired. After retirement he moved to Huntsville, AL.
He confessed his life to Christ at an early age under Pastor Riley Townsend at ST. John M.B. Church, Somerville, AL. After living in Chicago, he attended Messiah Temple Baptist Church where his pastor was Rev. B. S. Saulsby.
He leaves to mourn: his wife, Mrs. Barbara L. Stewart of Chicago, IL; one sister: Mrs. Inez Stewart Davis of Decatur; one uncle: Mr. Larry Sharpley of Decatur; three daughters, Andra Stewart of Cleveland, OH, Star Stewart and Wendy Stewart of Chicago, IL; five sons, Maurice Lyons of Los Angeles, CA, Odell Stewart III and Larry Stewart III of Chicago, IL, Dwight Burt of Decatur, and Eddie Jones of Priceville; four grandchildren; two nieces, Rosa Stewart of Somerville, AL and Michelle Stewart of Huntsville; a special friend aunt Dell Moore; a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.
