Wilma Earls (nee Cape) 92, of Steelville, MO passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville. She was born June 27, 1918 in Steelville, MO to Jesse Cape and Amy (Hibler) Cape. On June 10, 1939 in Steelville, Wilma was united in marriage to Rainey Earls who preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1974.
Wilma was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church and had been involved in the Ladies Circle for many years. After years of raising her family and after the death of her husband, Rainey, she became a CNA and worked at Gibbs Care until she retired. She was a special care-giver for others and her family.
Wilma enjoyed cooking and would make beautiful quilts for every member of the family. After retirement she loved to travel. One of her favorite past-times was watching the St. Louis Cardinal baseball games.
She is survived by her children, Dianne Wallis of Malden, MO, Bruce Earls and wife Chris of Chesterfield, MO and Terry Bouse and husband Nip of Steelville, MO; seven grandchildren, Rae Daigle and husband Kent of Welsh, LA, Doug Wallis and wife Kelly of St. Peters, MO, Jeana Murray and husband Randy of Rolla, MO, Jodie Cottrell and husband Lance of Steelville, MO, Brian Earls of Columbia, MO, Denine Schuster and special friend Rick Grivetti and Rodney Bouse and wife Crystal of Steelville, MO; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grand-daughter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rainey; son-in-law, Jerry Wallis; her brothers, Maurice(Kathryn and Winnie)Cape, her twin brother, Wilbur “Wig”(Rosalie) Cape and Joel Cape; one sister, Brenda (George) Riebel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy (Allyne) Earls, Troy Earls, Opal Aylward and Dollie Harris; nephew, Don Riebel and niece, Nancy Cape.
