Obituary
William Ray Hickman passed away on August 19, 2018 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Hickman nee Meyer of Troy, MO. He is survived by his two sons, William (Patty) Hickman II of Wentzville, MO, Brian (Jennifer) Hickman of Wentzville, MO; daughter, Kristina (Darrell) Conway of Troy, MO; brother, Robert (Sue) Hickman of O’Fallon, MO; sister-in-law, Carol Meyer; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Marion Lee Hickman; mother, Elsie Mae Hickman nee Childers; brother-in-law, Kenneth Meyer, father-in-law and mother-in-law. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He and Joyce were married 57 years uniting in marriage April 29, 1961. Bill was a tender-hearted man who spent much of his time as a prison and homeless minister. He loved animals and rescued many bringing them into his home. He was also a zoo parent at the St. Louis Zoo. Bill restored cars, coached little league, loved old westerns and especially loved “The Duke”. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
