William Louis Gulley of Lake St. Louis passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 90 years.

He is survived by one son, Kent Gulley and wife, Kelly of Peoria, IL; three grandchildren, Kassy Butterfield and husband, Tyler of Peoria, IL, Kyley Gulley of Peoria Heights, IL, and Khloe Gulley of Peoria, IL, two great grandchildren, Lincoln and Marley; two sisters, Sheila Plott and Dawn Edwards and husband, Burley “Ed” all of Virginia; other relatives, and friends.

William was born November 27, 1930 in Crozet, VA; son of the late Julius Paul Gulley and wife, Myrtle Moon Gulley. He went to college and received a law degree. William served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict from May 8, 1952 to February 9, 1955. On September 11, 1952, he was united in marriage to Miss Marilyn Pearce in Moultrie, GA and one son was born to this marriage. William worked many years as an attorney for Nationwide Insurance and its subsidiaries.

He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many other sports.

Mr. Gulley is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn on June 4, 2013; three brothers, George Gulley, Marcus Gulley, and Robert Gulley.

William will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
