Charlton / Brookfield – William “Lew” Ayers, Sr.
During his career, he also served as the Tax Collector for the Town of Brookfield.
Lew survived his wife, Phyllis May Ruggles, who he married in 1946. He is survived by his four sons, William Lewis Ayers, Jr. and his wife Doreen of Osprey, FL, David Ruggles Ayers, Paul Joseph Ayers and his wife Deborah, Robert Ray Ayers and his wife Susan, all of Brookfield. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Laura and William Lewis Ayers, III, Cathy Richard, David Ayers, Nicole Richards, Nathan Ayers, Lisa Skoczylas, Brian Ayers, Robert Ayers, Jr.
His family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Overlook for all of the care they provided to him over his 15 years as a resident there. He truly lived a long and well fulfilled life during his golden years.
