William J. Miller Sr. passed away peacefully at his Derwood home on September 11, 2013 at the age of 83. The son of John E. Miller and Josephine R. Miller, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister’s Juanita and Virginia. He is survived by His wife of 58 years, Dolores, and his brothers John, Richard and Donald. William has eight children; William Jr and wife Mary, JoLynn and husband Robert, John and wife Mary, Douglas and wife Dana, Linda and husband Thomas, Kevin, Karin and husband Rick, and Christopher. His grandchildren are William, Michael, Jenna, Matthew, Calleigh, Kacie, Victoria, John, Molly, Charlie, Christopher, Maddie, Rachel, Hayley, Sarah, Nicole, Camie, Thomas, Samantha, Garrett, Eric, Danny, Macie, and Aliza.
Born July 6th, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia. William attended Warwood High School and played football at West Liberty and Salem Colleges before enlisting in the Air Force and achieving the rank of Sergeant. William also attended the University of Maryland, and later worked for the F.B.I. where he met his wife Dolores Genevieve Russian. A successful Businessman, Land Developer and Realtor, he operated William J. Miller Realty, Inc. for over fifty years. William was active at Saint Paul United Methodist Church serving on the board, the Civitan Club and the Kiwanis Club, acting in the capacity of President .
