William H. Collings of Easton, MD, passed from this life into the next on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at The Gardens at William Hill Manor in Easton. He was 90 years old. Born in St. Charles, ID on February 26, 1925, Mr. Collings was the son of the late Simpson Lyman Collings and Olive Pearl DeRenzy. He graduated from the Marathon, NY High School and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in France and Germany during WWII. He retired from the General Motors Corporation after working in the Cadillac division for over twenty years. He is predeceased by his first wife Alice in 1994. He and his wife, Elsie Kelley Collings, attended the First Baptist Church in Easton. In addition to his wife, Mr. Collings is survived by two daughters: Diane Cook (Ron) of Lakewood, CO and Karen Dunne (Mike) of Utica, NY; three granddaughters: Elizabeth Marcoulier (Jason) of Quincy; MA, Kimberly Gattie (Richard) and great granddaughter Katherine of Rensselear, NY; and Melissa Dunne of Utica, NY; and one sister, Elizabeth Prater of Yuma, AZ. He also has four step daughters: Cheryl Cardarelli (James) of Scappoose, OR, Margaret Yasick (Don) of The Villages, FL, Gail Perez (Michael) of Kansas City, KS, and Mary Kay LeCates (Stephen) of Denton, MD; and a step son, Jack O. Kelley (Gail) of Denton; nine step grandchildren: Thea Haseman, Christa Meshell (Jason), Jesse Cardarelli, Talia Mask (Jon), Erin Brandt (Chris), Joshua Watson, Angelica Perez, Laura Foster (Stephen), and Stephanie LeCates; and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, he is predeceased by his sister, Margaret Munster from Raleigh, NC.
