Bath- William (White Eagle) Duncan Joseph Hogan Jr., 64, of Windjammer Way died Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Maine Veterans Hospital at Togus after a nine-month fight with pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Maturin, Venezuela on February 23, 1958, an adopted son of William D. J. and Mary (Leatherbury) Hogan Sr.
From Venezuela, he landed in Florida and was moved to Huntsville, Alabama to live with his adopted parents, and siblings. He graduated from S. R. Butler High School in Huntsville. He was elected student president his senior year and played on the varsity high school football team.
After high school, He entered the US Air Force where he served as a field maintenance technician. He finished his term of service at Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire. From there he moved to Maine, where he remained until his passing. He was employed as a cook at Mae’s Café in Bath and later at JR Maxwell’s in Bath.
He enjoyed making jewelry, fishing, music and collecting. He was an avid writer and enjoyed watching football and Jeopardy.
He is survived by sons Dakota Hogan, his wife Anna-Rose, and twin grandsons Oliver and Curtis Hogan of Bath, Jeremiah Hogan of Wiscasset, sisters, Florence Hill Hogan and Mary Elizabeth Marcrum. His nieces and nephews, Stephen Harder, Amanda Harder, Keleigh Hogan, Clayton Marcrum, and Gavin Marcrum.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Eshana Hogan in 1981 and one brother, Kevin Hogan in 2020.
