Wilford H. Elflein, 97, of New Florence, MO, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Missouri Veterans Home, Mexico, Missouri.
Wilford was born in New Florence, Missouri on April 26, 1919, a son of the late William J. & Minnie Christine (Feuring) Elflein.
He was united in marriage to Marjorie E. Schroer on December 5, 1953, at Warrenton, Missouri. Marjorie preceded him in death on March 29, 1985.
Wilford proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He owned and operated Elflein Body Shop and Radiator Repair in New Florence for over 30 years.
In his free time Wilford enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting grass, and tinkering with motors and cars.
Wilford is survived by a daughter, Beverly Elflein, of Columbia, Missouri; a son, Larry Elflein, of New Florence, Missouri; by two brothers-in-law, Charles Schroer & wife Virginia of Streamwood, Illinois; and Elmer Schroer, of Atlanta, Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Meyer, of Sarcoxie, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a brother Rufus Elflein.
