Whitney Johnee Gabathuler, 23, of Big Spring, Missouri, entered into the kingdom of heaven on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 3:48 p.m. at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, Missouri, due to injuries from an automobile accident.
Whitney was born Friday, September 14, 1990 at 3:34 a.m. in Washington, Missouri, to John and Sharon (David) Gabathuler. Whitney shared her birthday with her dad John and grandpa Ed Gabathuler.
Whitney is survived by her parents Sharon Gabathuler & fiance Riley Lewis of Big Spring and John Gabathuler & wife Nancy of Hermann, by two brothers Toby Krull & Dustin Krull & fiance Misty Kohlbusch of Hermann, two step-sisters Erin Kottwitz & husband Kurt of Bay and Kirstie Moorman of Hermann, her granny Fern David of Hermann, her grandma Margaret Gabathuler of Hermann, and grandma Henrietta Bader of Rhineland, the love of her life Raymond Overkamp of Hermann, aunts and uncles, Larry David & wife Kathy of Starkenburg, Donna Foley of Hermann, Charlie Gilbert & wife Bernice of Chamois, Mark David & wife Carole of Wellsville, Renee Wright of Springdale, Arkansas, Buddy Rentz & wife Nadine of Hermann, Tim Kolley & wife Linda of Chesterfield, and Frieda Savage of St. Peters, nieces and nephews Brianna Kohlbusch, Hunter & Karissa Krull, Korbyn Kottwitz, Weston Baumli, and Emma Rhoads, her very special cousins Amelie Wampler and Sue and Ronny Jones, many other relatives and friends and her dog Lucy.
Whitney graduated Hermann High School on May 14, 2009. During high school she was a very active member of the Hermann F.F.A. Chapter receiving her American F.F.A. Degree and was selected for the state talent and the national talent with her singing. After high school Whitney went to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in St. Peters and graduated on December 16, 2011.
She was employed at the Cottage Restaurant as a chef. Prior to that she was employed at the Downtown Deli & Custard Shoppe in Hermann. She was also a consultant for Thirty One and Origami Owl.
