Wendy Lee Meredith Semans of Federalsburg, MD, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was forty-five years old. Born in Easton, MD on September 14, 1970, Wendy was the daughter of Jerry L. Meredith of Denton and the late Gail Hubbard Meredith. She was a 1988 graduate of North Caroline High School. While working as a Branch Manager for PNC Bank, she continued her education, attending many banking courses and participating in their special events, continuing even after becoming ill. Wendy’s battle with cancer began in 2010. She had a strong will to fight and beat the cancer which she did when it went into remission for four years. Unfortunately, it returned in November 2010 and again she fought with a determination to never give up. Wendy was a kind, loving, devoted intelligent lady, always going above and beyond in any task she did. Wendy was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved her family and spent years caring for her mother and then her father. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others and was always looking to make life easier for them. Never one to be still, she liked to be doing something: participating in fund-raisers, charity walks, watching children in their sporting activities, NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, and watching the Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed outside activities: taking care of her horses, traveling, riding to the beach; and she liked a good challenge such as parasailing, hot air balloon rides, and fishing. In addition to her father, Wendy is survived by her husband of 24 years, Curt D. Semans of Federalsburg; her son, Tyler D. Semans of Federalsburg; her daughter, Kayla B. Semans Rex of Ridgely, MD; and her beloved grandson, Jackson T. Rex, the light of her life. She is also survived by her two sisters and their families: Amber and Rusty Thawley of Denton and their children: Ashlyn and Dylan, and Kelly and Dean Glessner of Seaford, DE and their daughter McKenzie; and other extended family members.
