Age 60, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2012 at home after a long courageous battle with prostate cancer. Christmas Day, the most glorious day was Wayne’s favorite holiday. He was born to Robert and Viola (Blundy) Thelen on September 20, 1952 in Portland. Wayne retired this past July from the Delta Township Utility Department after 26 years of service. He loved hunting, horseback riding, and driving his team of ponies in the Portland and Eagle parades.
