Wayne “Patrick” King, 36 of Waldoboro, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of May 1, 2016 in Windham. Born in Damariscotta on July 11, 1979, he was the son of Wayne Patrick King, Sr. and Sharon Lee (Estabrook) Knight. Patrick was full of life, very adventurous and loved everything fast. He had an infectious smile, know to all who have seen it as, “Patrick’s little grin”. He was always the life of any get-together; keeping everyone laughing and challenging all to join him in his antics. From the time he was little, he loved animals and could often be found catching snakes, mice, frogs, ducks and even a goose (although he got beat up a bit by it’s huge wings). He would even lay patiently on a rock to catch a salmon with his bare hands, because who needs a fishing pole? He even swam underwater for one of his catches…momma duck never saw Patrick coming when he grabbed her baby. He once jumped out of a car, onto a deer just to catch it. He then realized the deer had actually caught him, and that this animal was clearly too big to fit in his pocket. He eventually dismounted with a crashing thud (interestingly enough, this wasn’t the only time he rode on the back of a wild deer). He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Theresa Maguire; and grandfather, Richard W. Estabrook. He is survived by his mother, Sharon L. Knight of Waldoboro; father, Wayne P. King, Sr. and his wife Lisa of Newcastle; 6 children, Kailey J. King of Waldoboro, Mackenzie Young of Gardiner, Aiden Wayne Patrick King of Waldoboro, Madyson Jean King of Lewiston, Zoey Marie King of Lewiston, and Brailynn King of Lewiston; siblings, Jason G. King and wife Miranda of Auburn, Kristen L. Lane and husband Chuck of Virginia, Kaitlin King of Nobleboro, and Jessica McDaniel of Connecticut; mother of four of his children, Jillian Pellitier; paternal grandparents, Frank and Barbara King of Nobleboro; nephews and nieces, Chase, Lillian, and Kami Lane, Camden Spencer, Jason (J.J.), and Jaeden King, Eloise Jackson, and Sebastian Raposo; many uncles, aunts, cousins and special friends, including: “Unc” Richard Maguire and his wife Lisa; Uncle Gerry “the first to hold him”, Uncle Mike “the guy with the toys”; and lifelong friends,”The Chuck”, Nathaniel Bagley and Adam West.
