Mr. Hyland was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corp. and retired from General Motors as an electrician after 30 years of service. Wayne was one of the first in Portland to service and fix televisions and radios. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, James, Vivian “Bud”, and Charles “Buster”; 2 sisters, Esther and Pauline. Surviving are his wife of 62 years Dolores; 3 daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Herp of Wellington, Florida, Marie Hyland-Willis of Lansing, and Vicki (Robert) Weller of Portland; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
