Wayne A. Dant, of Bridgetown, MD, died peacefully on Thursday June 8, 2017 at the Caroline Hospice Home. He was 70 years old.
Born in Washington DC, he was the son of the late Paul and Dorothy Dant. He and his family moved from Severn, MD to the Eastern Shore in 1986. Wayne worked most of his life in the auto glass business and was the owner-operator of his own company for many years. He enjoyed boating and crabbing, but probably got the greatest joy hearing from his sons about their jobs and lives.
In addition to Debby, his wife of 47 years, Wayne is survived by two sons: Paul Dant of Hanover, MD and Jeffrey Dant (Shannon) of Long Valley, NJ; a sister, Judy Smith of Milton, DE; and his first grandchild, due to be born in August to Jeff and Shannon. He will be sorely missed by his Black Lab, Trixie, his faithful and constant companion.
