Age 80, passed away on December 31, 2015. She was born on February 23, 1935 in Ionia. Wanita was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Ionia, was a beautiful singer often singing with her daughter and granddaughter at the Ionia Free Fair, Blanchard House, WION and various other churches and organizations. She also enjoyed playing the autoharp. She loved crocheting and being a Ionia history buff. She trained dogs and raised money for the Ionia Co. Humane Society. She enjoyed crafts and entered them in various craft shows. Wanita was known for putting others needs before her own. She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin David Taylor and Amber J. Devers; stepfather, John Charter Devers; brothers Banjamin David Taylor, Jr., William Wilson Buckley; great grandson Orion Sky Brown; brother-in-law, Robert Adair, Sr. Surviving are her daughter, Sally (Ted) LaFuze; granddaughter, Sarah Jo (Alex) Brown; sister, Genevieve Adair; several nieces and nephews.
