Wanda Diane Culipher (nee Harvey), passed away peacefully Saturday, September 10th, 2022 surrounded by her family. A devoted wife and adoring mother and grandmother, Diane was a staple on the Canton Square where she worked at Roberts Insurance for over three decades.
A native of Canton, Diane met Alvin Culipher when they were just 17 years old, and the high-school sweethearts married the next year. They immediately launched a young married life overseas with the US Army. While stationed in Germany, Diane and Alvin had their sons Al and Bryan, who, along with their father, were the light—and center– of Diane’s life.
Upon their return stateside, Diane created a warm and inviting home just off the Natchez Trace, and worked in the family insurance business. As her sons grew up and had children of their own, Diane made her grandbabies the center of her world. Diane was a proud military wife and was devoted to Jesus Christ, lighting every room she entered with that joy of Our Savior.
Known for her sweet tea, holiday decorations and incredible hospitality, Diane is survived by her husband Alvin Culipher (U.S. Army, Ret.), and her sons and their wives Al & Susie Culipher of Canton, Mississippi and Bryan & Gerarda Culipher, of Vienna, Virginia.
Diane leaves behind her greatest joy, and her enduring legacy, through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Daniel & Lindsay Culipher, Wayne Culipher, Audrey Culipher, Andrew Culipher, Brigid Culipher, Gwen Culipher, Isaiah Culipher, Gabriel Culipher and Josiah Culipher.
Diane will be missed by every person who was blessed to know her.
