Wallace Sachs of St. Paul, Missouri passed away on February 3, 2021 at the age of 88.
He is survived by his loving and patient wife of 64 years, Ruby Sachs (nee Benedict); two daughters; Melissa (Harry) Jackson of Wentzville, MO and Tammie (Joshua) Knopp of O’Fallon, MO; three grandchildren, Travis (Ashley) Schalk, Victoria (Vince) Sagez, and Dalton (Kelly) Murray; and two great-grandchildren, Alicyn Sagez and Madison Schalk.
Wallace enjoyed life, riding his John Deere tractor, collecting John Deere tractor models, woodworking, fast cars, playing baseball, and trying to avoid trouble which always seemed to find him. He was the life of the party, he loved to laugh and was great at telling stories of his past. He and Ruby were married in St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed attending church with her for many years where he had his favorite pew.
In his later years he spent many hours in his chair with his remote in hand watching CNN and wrestling. He never met a stranger. He loved a hug hello and see ya later hug or handshake. He was infamous for his “Oh and give me one ring so I know you made it home” request.
Wallace loved and was so proud of his three amazing grandchildren and two adorable great-grandchildren. He leaves many wonderful memories for everyone to share and will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Odelia Sachs (nee Clausner) and his brothers, Art Sachs and Donald Sachs; his sister, Gladys Sachs (nee Wehde)
