Violette (Vi) E. Giroux, 76 of Portland, ME died Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough.
Vi was born in Portland, ME on June 23, 1939 the daughter of the late Louis David and Agnes Harriett (Violette) Chase.
She was educated in Portland schools. Following her schooling she was employed at Long Creek, JBI, Maine Medical Center in the Emergency Department and lastly as a caretaker.
Over the years, she has been a volunteer at Hospice, My Sisters Closet among many others.
Surviving family members include her children, Viann Nappi and husband, Anthony, Richie Giroux and wife, Jocelyn, Doreen Giroux, Mark Giroux and wife, Laura and Scott Giroux and wife, Jeanne, grandchildren, Nicholas Nappi, Sophia Nappi, Amanda Giroux, Zach Regan, Carly Regan, Delaney Regan, Justine Giroux, Markie Giroux, and Isabella Giroux, a great grandson, Julian Nappi.
Vi was predeceased by her parents, and two brothers, Leon and Dave Chase.
The family would like to thank Maine Medical Center, Hospice and Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for their care and compassion during her time of illness.
