Violet A. McDonald , 76, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at New Haven Care Center.
Mrs. McDonald was born in New Haven, Missouri on September 5, 1935, the daughter of the late George and Vera (Haynes) Panhorst.
She was the widow of Kenneth “Blitz” McDonald. They were married June 21,1954 in Clayton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death.
Violet is survived by a daughter Deborah Burgess & husband Robert of O’Fallon, Missouri, son Daryl McDonald & wife Brenda of Eureka, Missouri, two sisters Shirley Dietrich & husband Sylvester of New Haven and Margaret Menz & husband Louis of New Haven, a brother George Panhorst Jr. & wife Shari of New Haven, two brothers-in-law Raymond McDonald & wife Mary of New Haven and Ronald “Stub” McDonald of New Haven, grandchildren Renee Graslie, Sherry Buller & Danielle Burgess and great grandchildren Joshua Buller, Christopher, Kyle, Caitlyn Graslie and by many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister-in-law Corine McDonald.
She was a member of the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, New Haven. She worked for Pratt’s Pharmacy in New Haven for more than 25 years as a clerk. She then went to work for Mallincrodt for 8 years and then for Code 3 in New Haven for 5 years and then retired.
