Trent Roger Bengel, age 14, surrounded by his family went home to celebrate eternal life with Jesus after a 3 year courageous battle with brain cancer on January 12, 2013. Trent was born in Lansing, Michigan October 22, 1998. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Westphalia, Michigan, then Pewamo Westphalia Junior High School. Trent had a personality and a smile that was one of a kind. His sense of humor and love for life had an impact on everyone around him whether he was hanging out with friends and family at Chippewa Lake, camping out, at the baseball field or basketball court, at the movie theater, or Michigan Adventure. Trent was caring to everyone he came in contact with whether you were young or old and was ALWAYS able to make you smile and feel good. On January 2, 2010 we found out Trent had a brain tumor. He never doubted his faith through all his scans, surgeries, treatments, radiation or hospital stays. Many times God used Trent’s life to reveal his miraculous powers. During Trent’s long journey many people brought joy and inspiration to him and his family.
