Obituary
Hugh “Tom” Harkin passed away on July 20, 2018 at the age of 77. He is survived by his children, Tami Sue (Nicholas) Sutterer of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Todd (Melissa) Harkin of Branford, CT, Traci (Michael) Everman of Wentzville, MO, Troy (Sarah) Harkin of Dhaka, Bangladesh; sister, Marilyn (Gene) Heideman of Topeka, KS; grandchildren, Ariel, Destin, Skylar, Lilli, Nikki, Zavier, Troy, and Bruno; also his children Tim (Silke) Harkin, Dawn Harkin Mamoth, and Melanie (Derek) Harkin-Baker; grandchildren, Craig and Lauren; and great grandchildren, Ethan, Bryce, and Jacob. He is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Clifton Harkin, mother, Catherine Harkin. Tom was known as an amazing musician, who enjoyed sports and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. Some of his favorite hobbies included fishing on the lake and spending quality time surrounded by his family and grandchildren. He always looked forward to spending time in the kitchen cooking and tasting food with his loved ones during the holidays. One of Tom’s major accomplishments include his 30 years of sobriety and being an active member of AA. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
