Naples – Timothy Michael Durant, “Timmy”, 47, of Naples passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 19, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born on April 8, 1966 in Portland, the son of James “Jimmy” and Jackie (Belanger) Durant. Timmy grew up locally, graduating from Windham High School in 1984.

Timmy owned his own business, Durant Flooring since 1993. He had many interests and joys throughout his life. His greatest loves were his family and his many, many friends. Timmy also loved anything outdoors, including riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, 4-wheelers, boating and camping. He also loved cars and rebuilt a Mustang with his father. Looking so much like his dad, he was known as a Mini-Jimmy. One of the things he will always be remembered for is his famous “Zima Dance.” Timmy was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Timmy was predeceased by his grandparents on both sides. He is survived by his parents, his fiancé and love of his life, Laurie Hodge, his daughter Britta Durant, son Brendan Durant and his girlfriend Felicia, his sisters Carrie Daggett and her husband Richard, Lisa Turner, Lori Hayman and her husband Todd, his nieces and nephews, Ashlee Daggett, Justin Turner and his wife Samantha, Kayla Arterton and her husband Kurt, Anisa Hayman, Bryce Hayman, his great-nephew Noah Turner and his great-niece Ava Arterton, his great-aunt Theresa Belanger and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by the Hodge family; Donna Hodge and her partner Kenneth Sylvester, Bruce Hodge and his partner Rose Lyons and Richard Hodge and his son Richie and Richie’s son, Bryce.

Tim’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the nurses at SCU#3 at Maine Medical Center and the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
