Timothy Harold Belen, of Westphalia, passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 81.  He was born in Westphalia, Michigan on January 11, 1942, the son of Norbert and Marian (Wieber) Belen.  He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service.  Tim was a life-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1961.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the Michigan National Guard.  Tim was a loving, caring, selfless husband, father, and grandfather. He had a contagious laugh, humorous personality, and always had a smile on his face, especially around family and friends.

Preceding Tim in death are his parents; brother, Thomas Belen; brothers-in-law, Edward (Skip) Thelen, Richard (Dick) Whitney, Don Whitney, Tom Edlin, Ted Edlin; sisters-in-law, Anita Belen, Vera Belen, Marylou Whitney, Joyce Edlin, and Carol Edlin.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Judith Belen; daughters, Carri (Dennis) Fox, Carisa (Kirk) Beard; grandchildren, Shanna (Joshua) Thelen, Holly (Scott) Simon, Benjamin (Taylor) Fox, Matthew Fox, Grace Fox, Kate Fox, Alexis Visser, Jordan Visser, Tori Beard, Preston (Lauren) Beard; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Thelen; sisters-in-law, Peg Whitney and Sally Edlin; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
