South Portland – Thomas Walter Traynor, III, 60, known by his friends as “Tommy T, “of South Portland passed away at the Maine Medical Center on April 1, 2015. He was born in Portland on March 16, 1955, a son of Thomas and Ruth (Brown) Traynor, Jr. Tom grew up in South Portland, attending South Portland Schools.
At the age of 17, Tom enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1972 to 1975. He then joined the Army National Guard for a twenty year career, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He also spent time working for BIW.
Tom lived an active and social life.
