Thomas Albert Couture, 52, of Jefferson, passed away suddenly in his home on July 2nd, 2013. Born on February 7, 1961 in Gardiner General Hospital, he was the youngest child of Ovide C and Betty M (Sawyer) Couture. He graduated from Gardiner High School, class of 1979. Over the years, he had worked as a truck driver, heavy equipment operator, and mechanic among other things. His greatest enjoyments were his children, grandchildren, and motorcycles. He was one of ten “only children”. A free spirit, and a maker of his own rules, he lived every day to the fullest. Many days were spent riding his Harley and enjoying every moment. Many friends were made along the way, and many unforgettable memories were made as well. He was predeceased by his mother and father; and four brothers, Edward, George, John, and Joseph; and sisters-in-law, Pamela, Paula, and Lornie Couture. He is survived by daughter, Steena Howard, her husband Jeremy and grandson Jackson; and son, Willard Couture, his wife Patty and grandchildren, Anthony and Maria all from New Hampshire. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Fardon and her husband Ed of Buxton; and brothers, James and his wife Becky from Tennessee, Andrew and his wife Alicia of Jefferson, Gene and his wife Holly, and Greg and his wife Debra both of West Gardiner; sisters-in-law, Dolly Couture of Oklahoma, Diane Couture of West Gardiner, Joyce Knox of Livermore, Betsy Couture from Illinois; and 31 nieces and nephews.
