Theresa “Terry” M. Craig, 83, of Damariscotta, passed away on the afternoon of March 25th at the Lincoln Health – Miles Campus with her husband by her side. Born on January 27, 1931 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of Carolus and Elizabeth Gaulin. Terry grew up in Connecticut and attended schools in Hartford. During, and after high school, she worked for an insurance company there. She later worked for Hartford Machine Screw Company in Windsor, CT where she would meet her husband, James “Jim” Craig. They would marry on November 21, 1950, and she moved to Ohio while Jim completed his education at Ohio University. Upon Jim getting a job with the Hartford Courant, they moved back to Connecticut where they would start their family. They would eventually move back to Ohio, before moving to Damariscotta in 1997, where she and her husband had spent summers for many years. Terry loved to create elaborate needlepoint pieces and was an excellent cook. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Craig; as well as 2 sisters, Betty and Irene; and two brothers, Ray and Bernie. She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Craig of Damariscotta; one daughter, Linda Manchester of Connecticut; a son, Gary Craig of Ohio; three grandsons, Zachary, Matthew and Jonathan Price; and one sister, Karen Harrington. At her request, there will be no formal service.
