            Thelma B. Johnson, 93 of Rehoboth, passed away at the Atlantic Shores in Millsboro on Sunday November 16, 2008. She was born at Williamsburg on December 27, 1914, and was a daughter of the late Carlton G. and Katie Harper Bradley.

 

          She attended schools in Federalsburg. She had worked at Hutzler Brothers for 10 years and later worked for Walter J. Crismer Realtor for 20 years. On July 18, 1937 she was married to Samuel O. Johnson. Mr. Johnson passed away on May 11, 2006. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and working in the church kitchen. She had been a member of the Lochearn Presbyterian Church and had been a member of the United Methodist Women, First Presbyterian Church in Punta Gorda, FL, where she had been a member of the Punta Gorda Church Chicks, as well as a Church Elder, Westminster United Methodist Church and later St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cambridge. Some years ago she had served as an Assistant Girl Scout leader. She had been in failing health for several years when she passed away on Sunday evening.                                  

 

 

          Survivors include two daughters Brenda Eaton and her husband John Eaton of Rehoboth and Sarah Bauman and her husband Charles Bauman of East New Market, three grandsons John Eaton,  and his wife Debbie Eaton, Chuck Eaton and his wife JoAnn Eaton and Barry Eaton and his wife Tina Eaton,  one granddaughter Barbara Tyler and her husband J.W. Tyler, eight great grandchildren Allison Eaton, Alex Eaton, Joshua Eaton, Ryan Eaton, Kyle Eaton, Gregory Tyler, Justin Tyler and Anna Grace Tyler and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Judy Hohman, two brothers Alton Bradley and Fulton Bradley and two sisters Dorothy Bee and Claribel Windsor.
