Topsham- Tessa Lyn Koucoules Heath, 60, passed away peacefully at her home July 3, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Brunswick Maine on May 14, 1950 to George “Sonny” and Theresa Koucoules Valcourt. Tessa grew up in Brunswick and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1969, where she was a Majorette. She was an avid dancer, active in local beauty pageants, and a 20 year member of the Cancer Crusade Capers. Tessa was also Miss Yarmouth Clam Festival 1969. Through school she worked at the family business Mike”s Place. She also was employed at Merrill”s Carpet, a realtor in Brunswick and the Hyde School in Bath.
Tessa was a sweet, loving and giving mother, wife, sister and friend. She was devoted to her family and friends. She loved every moment of life, she was a regular at the Sock Hop at Fat Boy”s, loved to bowl, garden and attend Bowdoin Theater.
She is survived by her loving husband James Heath, her son Ryan Heath, grandson Mason Heath, and her daughter RenAC.e Heath. Siblings include George Koucoules and his wife Penny, Tona Broderick and her husband David, and Mike Koucoules and his wife Sue.
She will forever be remembered for her strength, inspiration and perseverance. She has forever touched our hearts and lives. The family would like to thank the wonderful health care providers at Maine Center for Cancer Medicine in Brunswick for their devotion to their patients.
