Susie (Menke) Pogue, 84, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Pogue was born in Purdy, Missouri on August 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Hercial and Ruthie (Cochran) Harlan.
She was the widow of Roscoe Pogue.
She was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven, Missouri, where she was a member of the St. Ann’s Sodality and she was a very active member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 54 years. She worked for Kellwood.
Susie is survived by a son Melvin F. Menke & wife Jeanne of New Haven, Missouri, daughter Dianne M. Whelan and husband Daniel of New Florence, Missouri, daughter Brenda S. Voss and husband Robert of New Haven, Missouri and daughter Mary K. Knight and husband Peter of Washington, Missouri, two brothers Wayne Harlan of Holts Summit, Missouri and Williard Harland of Wellsville, Missouri, four sisters Lela Hale of New Haven, Missouri, Dorothy Ketchum of Wentzville, Missouri, Dolly Hoerstkamp of New Haven, Missouri and Martha Veach of Jonesburg, Missouri, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roscoe Pogue, and her first husband Melvin H. “Red” Menke, a son Bruce Menke and a daughter Delphine Menke, a sister Mary Lee and two brothers Walter & William Harlan.
