Stella Bigo, age 61, longtime resident of Hibbing, died Sunday, January 22, 2012, in the Fairview University Medical Center – Mesabi. She was born October 12, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MN, the daughter of Mike and Dorothy (Pochucha) Bigo. She graduated from Hibbing High School and went on to attend Hibbing Jr. College and Bemidji State University where she received a degree in Elementary Education.
Stella was a long time director of Homes Inc.. Previously she had taught elementary school children in Cass Lake. She was a member of St. Michael’s Serbian Orthodox Church in Hibbing, was the district secretary for Al-Anon, and was involved with the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life. Stella dedicated her life to helping others.
