Sophia M. Lennemann, age 94, passed away March 31, 2017. She was born April 9, 1922 to Martin and Victoria (Alexander) Honsowitz, Sr. Sophia loved the Christmas season and she made it a topic of conversation year-round. She enjoyed baking, embroidering, and bingo. Sophia cherished the time she spent fishing with her husband, Gerald and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald W. Lennemann; and several brothers and sisters. Sophia is survived by her three, loving children, Russ (Paula) Lenneman, Beckie (Bill) Bates, and Julie (Bruce) Denny; grandchildren, Michael Lenneman, Katie Adams, Kelly Hartman, Ben Conley, Emily Robinson, Stephanie (Josh) Hutchinson, Matthew Denny, and Tyler Denny; five great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lenneman, Betty Honsowitz, and Connie Lenneman. The family of Sophia Lennemann would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at the Diamondale Nursing Care Center for taking such wonderful care of their mother.
