Shirley Yvonne Duvall, 75, of Woodbine, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Copper Ridge.
Born August 1, 1937 in Howard County, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Mamie Unglesbee Harrison. She was the wife of the late John Willard Duvall who died in 1988. They had been married for 21 years.
She was a retired Chief Custodian at Bushy Park Elementary School in Howard County. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, and a one of a kind Mom-Mom. During her last seven months at Copper Ridge she was cared for and loved by an amazing nursing staff, along with the whole Copper Ridge community.
She is survived by Michael Goad and wife Bessie, James Goad and wife JoAnn, Kaye Shifflett and husband Tink all of Sykesville, Johnny Duvall and wife Laurie of Woodbine, Steve Duvall and Wife Shelley of Hancock, her companion of 20 years Jim Roderick, siblings Gilbert Harrison of Eldersburg, Charlotte Sirk of Lisbon and Eleanor Hodges of Mississippi. She is also survived by her granddaughter Patricia Ebrahimji whom of which she shadowed during her time at Copper Ridge, 10 other grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
