Shannon L. Gunderson of Greensboro, MD, died Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the UMSMC in Easton, MD. She was 43 years old.
Born in Easton on April 16, 1974, Mrs. Gunderson was the daughter of Dennis Lee Glover of Ridgely, MD and the late Martha Cherry Glover. A 1992 graduate of North Caroline High School, she had lived in Caroline County all of her life. She was a loving mother and wife who also had a passion for animals. She had worked as an animal control officer in Caroline County and had also worked as a nursing assistant in Harrington, DE.
Mrs. Gunderson is survived by her husband, Eston D. “Gus” Gunderson of Greensboro; two daughters: Emily R. Manear of Fallston, MD and Shaylah R. Gunderson of Greensboro; three sons: Jacob M. Carter, Matthew Dennis Glover, and Sean R. Gunderson, all of Greensboro; five step children: Brittany Lee Gunderson of Milford, DE, Ashley Marie Gunderson of Cambridge, MD, E. David Gunderson of Concord, NH, William A. Gunderson of Hurlock, MD, and Brandon A. Gunderson of Rhodesdale, MD; a brother, James Riley of Ridgely and a sister, Jaime Riley of Hebron, MD; and 12 grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Lee Glover, Jr.
