Sarah Jeanne Gatrell, nee Gray, age sixty-nine of Steelville, MO passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at her home. She was born October 10, 1942 in Rolla, Missouri to Glen Gray and Minnie McMillen Gray. On January 29, 1966 in Steelville, Missouri at the Presbyterian Church, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Gatrell who survives of the home.
Sarah Jeanne was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church. For a few years she had a sewing and fabric shop and later worked in the law office of Howald and Kenagy, the Steelville Courthouse and the Steelville Star. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting and sewing.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Bob, of forty-five years; one daughter Bobbi Young and husband Les of Steelville, MO; four grandchildren Endi Anna, Justess and Shay Viehman and Marlee Johnson; one step-grandson James Young; son-in-law Rob Viehman of Steelville, MO; brothers-in-law, Jim Gatrell and wife Linda of Indiana, Eddison Gatrell and wife Amy, Tom Gatrell and wife Sally all of West Virginia and Richard Gatrell and wife Violet of Ohio; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Robert Glen Gatrell; and one daughter Lori Anne Viehman.
The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Honored to be casket bearers were Rob Viehman, Ron McMillen, Tony Gatrell, John Bunch, Gary Stift and Marvin Bartle.
