Sandra D. Hockersmith of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Ridgely, MD, died Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the Palm Bay Community Hospice in Palm Bay, FL. She was 70 years old.
Born in Deale, MD, Mrs. Hockersmith was the daughter of the late Charles Hazeltine Sterling, Sr. and Mary Estelle Paddy Sterling. Mrs. Hockersmith is survived by her husband, Ronald A. Hockersmith of Palm Bay, FL; a daughter, Hope Anna Marie Towers (Gregory) of Springfield, MA; 3 sons: Ronald Hockersmith of W. Palm Beach, FL, Brian Hockersmith (Marilyn) of Ft. Lee, VA, and Kevin Hockersmith of Merritt Isl., FL; a sister, Shirley Mae McDonald (William) of Banning, CA; and five grandchildren: Edward Towers, David Towers, Ethan Towers, Olivia Hockersmith, and Abegail Hockersmith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Brady; and two brothers: Charles “Sonny” H. Stearlings, Jr. and Jerry W. Sterlings.
