James was born on June 9, 1958 to Louis E. and Ida Rose Yocom in Mobile , AL. He was a man who enjoyed the simple things of life such as fishing and family. He believed that life was at its best when it was uncomplicated and care free.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis E. Yocom Sr. and a brother, Louie Yocom Jr. He is survived by his loving mother, Ida Rose Yocom of Gautier, MS; two siblings; Debbie Moorman and her husband Mitch of Franklin Creek, MS and Tommy Yocom and his wife Cindy of Vancleave; nieces and nephews, Preston and Tina Crosslin, Chad and Faith Crosslin, Abigayle and Brett Allred; great nieces and nephews, Trey Crosslin, Gracie Waltman, and Hope Crosslin.
