She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Kenneth Carl Creighton; two brothers, Max and Kenneth Creighton; and sister, Dorothy Lobich. Ruth is survived by her children, Roger (Margaret) Creighton, Arthur (Julie) Creighton, and Linda (Richard) Sonday; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
