Ruth Anne “Ruthie” Riegel, 67, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri.
Mrs. Riegel was born in New Haven, Missouri on July 3, 1944, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Alice (Hatfield) Hoerstkamp.
She was the wife of Leon Riegel. They were married November 10, 1962 at New Haven. He survives in New Haven.
Ruthie is also survived by two daughters Leanne Bauer & husband Pat of New Haven and Mary Beth Otten & husband Tim of Camdenton, a son Chad Riegel & wife Jenni of St. James, a daughter-in-law Patty Riegel of New Haven, two sisters Mitzi Bean & husband Gene of New Haven and Sarah Stock of New Haven, two brothers-in-law Wayne Riegel & wife Jerine of Washington and Jim Riegel of Washington, nine grandchildren, Adam & Josh Riegel, Megan & Mackenzie Bauer, Brooke Kluba, Caleb & Sophia Otten and Kaylee & Max Riegel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Kurt Riegel, a brother John Hoerstkamp and a sister-in-law Bonnie Riegel.
She was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven, Missouri. Ruthie and her sister owned and operated the Country Kitchen for several years. She then ran the cafeteria for AARP and owned her own catering business. In her later years she worked for Metalcraft.
