Russ was born in Detroit, MI and graduated from Mackenzie High School and Walsh College with a BA in Accounting. He worked for GM for 37 years. Russ has been the beloved and thoughtful husband and best friend of Judy Ellen (Mackinder) Sarns for 47 years. He also was the devoted father of David (Bianca) Sarns and the proud ‘Papa’ of 19 month-old, Colin David Sarns. Russ has always had an interest in cars and was the proud owner of a 1955 Chevy Bel Air and a 1994 Camaro Z28 convertible. He enjoyed his involvement with the Eastern Michigan Camaro Club.
