Roy G. Swanson, 69, Warren, MN, died on Sunday, December 12, 2004 at the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.
Roy Gilbert Swanson was born on July 15, 1935 in Warren, the son of Roy and Marie (Folden) Swanson. He was a life long resident of Warren where he graduated from Warren High School. On August 13, 1960, he was united in marriage to Deanna Warner at Pembina, ND. He was an owner of Warren Implement for many years before becoming the Marshall County Auditor-Treasurer from 1986 – 2002.
He was an active community member who was a member of the First Lutheran Church where he served on the church council, Warren American Legion Post #27 where he was a past commander and a member of the Drill Squad, Warren Lions, Warren Seniors Club and past president of the Warren Chamber of Commerce. Roy also was a past member of the Warren Volunteer Ambulance Corps and on the Board of the Warren Community Hospital.
